final blog

I've learned a lot in speech class. I'm pretty sure my extemp speeches will now be more than the minimum of 4 1/2 minutes! I've learned a lot about eye contact, and that by looking at the back of the room doesn't count. People can tell if I'm not looking at them, so direct eye contact is key. I enjoyed having speech as independent study. I got a lot of time to work on other things, and I had enough stuff to keep me busy with writing speeches and doing projects. I might have liked having speech in a class setting, too. It was fun just hanging out with Kaelee, but having a class to speak to and interact with might have been nice, too. Don't get me wrong, 7th graders are quite interesting! haha.. overall it was a good time.
I didn't think any part was a waste of time, the "Last Will" was my favorite, and informative speaking is way easier than oral interp. I like the more cut & dry type of speeches. I don't think I'd change anything about the class. I liked being independent and having the work ethic to complete my stuff on time (most was on time :p) It was all on me, and by having to get things done on my own on a strict time schedule helped me to prioritize my things to get the more important parts done first.
Speech was fun! I think it helped me a lot with nervousness, because towards the end of the class I didn't really get nervous as easily. Hopefully what I've learned shows through in speech this year! I'm a lot more confident talking to people I don't know now, and having intellectual conversations with strangers comes a bit easier. (Not like men off the street kinda strangers.. but people i don't really know that well) hah.. well, goodbye speech!

Oral Interp

So, my oral interp didn't go as well as it could have. I didn't use any hand gestures at all, and my voices were kind of lacking, too. My eye contact wasn't very good either, I relied on the script for too much of it. there wasn't a variation in my characters, so I imagine it was kind of boring to watch. I didn't put myself into the situation, so I didn't really know how to "feel" for each character. I also should have used the emotion of the piece as a whole: gotten louder and softer when it fit the piece.
Overall, I don't think I did as well as I could have. I seem to practice it ok, but when it comes time to present, I lose all my enthusiasm, gestures, and eye contact. I pretty much just stood up front and read a story without emotions. I need to make things bigger and more pronounced so my audience knows my character differences. Even though my voice changes seem big to me, they're not near enough so the audience can easily understand my character changes.
I will do better on my next one!

Superhero!

If I were a superhero, I'd pry be pretty dang super ;). My superhero name would be " ." It looks like there's nothing there and there isn't! ..I'm so super I don't even need a name, any long dramatic pause in a conversation is a reference to me! My super powers include being invisible, and being in more than one place at a time. I also can heal people by looking at them and have the amazing ability to travel through space and stop time. My costume would be the coolest thing you've ever seen. It would be orange and navy blue, those being " "'s favorite colors. It would have a giant "S" on the chest referring to just how super I am. It would also have a really sweet mask, kind of like the one off of The Incredibles, but not really. It would be diamond studded so I can cut people with my intense stares. That's pretty much as super as my super hero would be :)
**Next time you stop to pause in a conversation, think of " ." & i'll be right there to help!
as for my theme song.. it would be "Superhuman" by Chris Brown because that is exactly what I am.. super-human!

>>>>There I am! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^Can't even see me! ^^^^^^^^^ :)

Problems, Solutions & some Goals, too!

So I finally figured out that I could type in different colors! ha.. yay me! Wait 'till the last few days of bloggin for me to finally get it all figured out.
Anyways, my problem currently is that I have no motivation to do anything. I pretty much have senior-itis already! I just keep sliding by with an acceptable grade and doing halfway decent work when I know I could be doing better that I'm doing. I've taken to studying the morning of the test and the few minutes before and although that's working really well, it's not all that acceptable on my own personal standards. I still get everything done that I need to, but not to the best of my ability.
My solution to this problem is to find something to get me more excited about doing the best I possibly can. I hope to study more than the morning before a test, do my assignments as correctly as I can without shortening answers, and just being more upbeat about my classes in general. In some classes my lack of work ethic is showing, I don't want to be remembered as the girl who just slid by her senior year because she got bored with school.
My goals are to apply for nursing school and write the best essays I can to get accepted and get enough money to attend a private school. So far I'm doing pretty well because my applications are almost done, my essays are getting to where they need to be, and I'm also applying for many scholarships to get all the money I can. One of my ultimate goals is to just be happy. I'm accomplishing this one as well because I live each day as it comes and don't sweat the small stuff. Things that could possibly get in my way are cast aside because being a happy person is a major goal of mine.

How technology has affected and is affecting my life..

Technology has affected my life drastically. When I was little, computers weren't even that big of a deal, but as I grew up they are becoming much more important to our everyday lives. I also remember when my parents first went from a car phone to cell phones.. how exciting that was!! ;) Then they upgraded to a flip phone from an open faced phone, then to razors and so on. Thinking back on it now, I realize just how much technology has changed just from when I was little. Another thing that wasn't popular when I was little was texting, now it's everywhere! People are constantly texting nowadays, and almost everyone has a cell phone. Technology is always changing and making things more efficient, easier to use, and better overall. When we first got laptops I was kind of against it because it would be something new to get used to. I didn't like the fact that they were Macs and I was used to Windows, but it wasn't hard at all to get used to the new computers. I actually like them now and dread taking notes by hand. It's so much easier and faster to type than to hand-write things.
Technology changing can also be a not so great thing. New technology means spending more money to update. When new technology comes out, the stores usually stop selling the old things (for ex. VHS/DVD & Blueray) and only sell the new things, leaving people to have to buy a DVD player because VHS tapes aren't sold anymore. The new things could also harm our environment, be made out of resources that we don't have enough of, or could be used for more harm than good. Changing technology also causes some people to rebel because they don't like the idea of changing or conforming to what everyone else is doing. They stick to their old ways just so that they don't have to be like everyone else. This makes them fall behind in the working world because offices usually try to stay up to date with the current technology in order to keep their business thriving. When people don't know how to use computers today, it makes it a hassle for the people who do know how because they have to teach the other people. Most people really understand the new things by trial and error, and if a person doesn't have access to the newest technology then they won't be as familiar with the product as they could be.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Hi mom and dad. I spose I'm doing just grand. Class isn't too terribly hard, and the speeches are kind of fun. This new batch of 7th graders isn't quite as exciting as the last, but they're still pretty entertaining. I'm doing well, as you can see by my grades. I make sure I get all of my speech stuff done before I do things for other classes. That's about it.. everything's goin swell.
Oh yea, and my speech skills are improving. I've learned that a notecard is actually not that heavy, and I can hold it in just one hand! I'm also getting less nervous everytime I speak. :)

stickers..

my government class chose the blog for yesterday, I had it all typed out then I forgot to submit it. So here it is.. stickers. We are very grateful to Mrs. Fleecs for giving us stickers when we do well. We probably like it more than the freshman do.
The next two topics include homecoming court and community service day. Homecoming court is a HUGE popularity contest, and it seems as if the candidates are chosen only because other people think a person's going to win either way. Sweetheart is the same way, but almost a little bit better because more than just the letterclub can choose the candidates. I know it's part of tradition, and I wouldn't want to do away with it because it's a part of high school.
So, community service day. When I wrote yesterday, I was going to say that I didn't think community service day wouldn't be so bad, and it actually wasn't. The things we had to do weren't too terribly hard, and I'm glad it was a nice day out otherwise it would've been really miserable. My group went to the lake and picked up trash on the jetty's.

My favorite recipes..

So obviously from reading my other blogs, food is very important to me! One of my favorite recipes that I can make without actually looking at a recipe card is Oreo balls...yum!! You mix a pack of Oreos with an 8 oz box of cream cheese. Form them into shapes and cover them with almond bark. I make these a lot for my friends, there's very few ingredients, and it's pretty simple. A recipe that I like to cook but I need the recipe for would be Chocolate Chip Cookies. I usually remember all of the ingredients I need but not the amounts or the order to add them in. My grandma always said to add an extra egg, why I couldn't quite tell you, but I do it anyways because grandma said so ;)..A food item that I would like to learn how to make is lasagna. I love eating it, and it doesn't seen too terribly hard to make. I suppose that once you have all of the ingredients you just have to layer it, but I've never tried to make it so I could be horribly wrong, too. Another thing I'd like to make sometime is skyline chili. The Adams' family has it a lot, and it's really good. It's another one of those that I have absolutely no idea about, but with a recipe it probably wouldn't be too hard.
I don't really cook all that much.. if even at all. If it's easy to make or the directions are simple then I might do it, but otherwise I leave the cooking up to my mom and dad. That's what parents are for anyways :)

Current Event..

This lady was blind for about 10 years because of a complication from a disease. Her doctor took out her eye tooth and implanted it into her shoulder. From her shoulder, he put in in the back of her eye. A hole is made in the tooth to have a prosthetic lens. After all the procedures, the lady could see again! I think it's really amazing that this is even possible. Honestly, I didn't believe it when I first heard about it, but then I read about it on the Internet and it really is true. It's cool that parts of the body can be used to fix another part that has no relation to it at all; like a tooth to restore someone's vision. That's about all I have for today :) I found the article in the Omaha World Herald but couldn't find the same one on the Internet. (I have the newspaper article if you still want to see it.) A similar article is on the website below.

7th grade inspired (day 1 with the new lil tykes)

Today's blog topic is "cats" by Noah Fisher. These kids seem to only think of one word topics, not as in depth as Kaelee's. So... to start out, I have one cat named Callie. She's pretty old. She's kind of arthritic too because Evan threw her down the stairs a couple of times and broke her back legs a few times as well. She seems to always sleep on my head at night in the winter, why that's her favorite spot is a mystery to me. As for cats in general I remember Amanda Weber did her 7th grade exploratory speech about cats. According to her, there are persians, red tabby persians, etc.. that's the only kinds I remember from her speech. I suppose if you really liked cats then you'd know all the different kinds, but cats aren't really my thing. That's about all I have for this wonderful Friday :)

Nurture vs. Nature (courtesy of Kaelee)

So.. nurture vs. nature and how does it play a role in someone's abilities. Nurturing is how a person is raised and how a much attention a person gets as they're growing up to every aspect of their life. Nature would be how a person is as is, without the influence of a parent or coach pushing them to excel in everything they do. I believe nurturing does play a role in someone's abilities to a certain extent. While a person is born with their own individual aptitudes, the influence of someone else could cause someone to excel in their abilities or even do worse if the feedback is negative. If a person receives positive feedback, they often do things better to receive more compliments and in turn increase their skills, so they can gain recognition. If a person receives negative feedback, they often retreat and don't try to do better than what they can do naturally. People who receive too much attention can also stray away from what the coach/parent wants because the child needs space of their own and needs to do things on their own and their own way. (why I picked this example I have absolutely no clue) >For example, on HSM Troy Bolton was pushed by his father to be the best basketball player he possibly could be. In a way, the father was living his dreams through his son. Troy succeeded for awhile but eventually got tired of all of the pressure. He was nurtured in the area of basketball too much that naturally he didn't want to participate anymore. He did the school musical and later talked things through with his dad. They figured out that the father needed to not push the son so hard and just let things happen the way they were meant to happen. In conclusion, nurturing does influence a persons abilities. It could help them excel or draw back in activities or in daily life. Too much or too little nurturing could harm a person's natural abilities, so you should let your children develop all their natural abilities and let them be the best they can be. :)

a persuading article..

In the Seventeen magazine, I found an article for clothes from the Buckle. It persuades me to go to the Buckle and buy some of the clothes because the model wears the clothes well. The clothes are flattering to the person's figure and look modest. The bright colors and creative words on the page draw in my eye and make me look closely at the article instead of just flipping past the page. Persuading articles use vibrant colors and catchy words to sell their products.

Why do I want to go to school in Omaha?

I want to go to school in Omaha because I like the city. Out of all of the colleges I have visited, the ones in Omaha appeal the most to me. I like Clarkson College because of it's small class sizes, and the whole campus is within a couple of blocks. Yesterday I went to UNO, and I liked how it was bigger and more diverse. Both campuses were really clean and friendly feeling. Another thing I like about Omaha is that there's many different opportunities for advancement. There are a number of different nursing schools I could choose from and also a wide range of job opportunities. In a smaller town, there would be fewer job opportunities and less chance of finding the right job for me. I also picked Omaha over Lincoln because Evan lives in Lincoln, so I kind of wanted to test out a new scene. He'd still be close if I needed him, but I want to branch out and learn and experience things on my own and create my own ideas about life.

things to change about my speech..

I would definitely have practiced more. I didn't know my speech as well as I thought I did. My visuals didn't work out very well, as I couldn't get my video to turn off when I needed it to. On my poster, the words were a little bit too small. I could get the technological things figured out better and also make sure the words were visible for everyone in the room.

the good, the bad, & the ugly.. of jr/sr high speeches

Well, we'll be optimistic today and start with the good things I noticed today
Most of them had all of their visual aides, and the dog was pretty exciting to see, too. Some spoke loudly and clearly enough, spoke slowly enough to be understood and so we could comprehend.
Next, the bad..
There were some people messing around with their notecard, some akward transitioning between points, and also some computer glitches that prevented people form having a smooth speech. Some were really quiet and hard to understand.
& the hilarious/ugly..
I noticed the Jr. high kids tended to get really red-faced and very nervous in their voice tone. I did too a little bit. I tried to keep my voice steady but my voice seemed to crack a little bit. The Jr. High kids get really worried when they make mistakes, but Sr. High kids realize that it's just a minor mistake, and we can improve upon the little things and it's not the end of the world.
As for my speech, my visuals were pretty good. My video was a little bit long, and I couldn't seem to figure out how to turn of the projector when I was done ;). I could have practiced it more and knew more about what my main points were. My eye contact was lacking as I didn't practice near as much as I should have; I also overshot the time limit by about 20 seconds. Overall, not too shabby I suppose.

7th grade inspired (day 4)...

Today's blog topic is "pigs" by Kristen Arens. She didn't even hesitate when I asked her what I should blog about.. she must've been waiting for me to pick her for the blog topic. Anyways, pigs... they're big, fat, hairy things that usually have some sort of nasty smell to 'em. In Adult Living we did this "drawing a pig personality test" where depending on where you drew your pig would tell you about your personality. I don't remember all of the different scenarios though. Pigs used to be my favorite animal, but I don't quite know why. I guess I liked the pictures of them more than the actual thing because I hated going by them at the pig barns at the fair. On a happier note, bacon comes from pigs, and I love bacon. I guess that'd be another reason I like pigs. That's pretty much all the thoughts I have on pigs right now.. my speech is about swine flu, so currently I have very few kind words to say about pigs. hah.. that's all for now :)

Why I'm doing a 30 day challenge..

Well to be completely honest, I kind of have absolutely no idea as to why I'm blogging for 30 days. Maybe it's to mark my progress in speech class. I have noticed that my first blogs were very boring but now I must say they are pretty exciting sometimes. Blogging is used to share my feelings on a wide variety of subjects, and by reading other people's blogs I can see that we share some of the same opinions. I do kind of like blogging though because it gives me something to do for the first half hour of class while everyone else is at lunch when I don't really feel like doing much. It also lets me share my opinions and feelings on some things that I probably wouldn't say out loud. I suppose it's called the 3o day challenge because it gets me thinking on a variety of topics that I wouldn't otherwise think about in very much detail. (Obviously it makes me think because at the start of this blog I had absolutely no idea as to why I was blogging, but now I kind of have it figured out I suppose.) ..that's it for the blog of the day :) ..writing speeches over a long weekend is way different than the 60 minutes I usually get! ha so if this isn't a good speech then I'll just make myself write 'em in an hour or so. ;)

ooh monotony :(

<< ">kaelee marie at her finest! :) & good 'ole collin
______________________________________________________________
what a wonderful day in speech class! Kaelee chose the topic on this wonderful Friday! ooh and Kaelee blogs now too.. become her friend! Anyways.. the topic for today is monotony. The pictures above show the monotony of a typical speech day; Kaelee's confused beyond belief and Collin is up to no good. Monotony is often used to describe a typical day in which everything is the exact same as every other day. More monotony.. every day after lunch Kaelee and I walk into Mrs. B's room and sit at our circular table in the back of the room. We open our computers, turn on the song "Down" by Jay Sean, and then we proceed to the candy jar. Whether we eat one or two depends on just how lovely school lunch was for that day. I usually choose a couple life savers while Kaelee breaks the monotony and eats something different every day. After that we jam out to some tunes for awhile until the lunch bell rings.. then we quickly turn off the music and act like we're doing something productive (which we usually are ;)..) We also noticed that there are more "Goals" on the dream board.. it's quite exciting to read all of them. (almost makes me want to think that climbing a water tower would possibly fit up there with all of the rest.) Anyways.. that's about all I've got for the wonderful Friday-before-Labor-day blog. Enjoy :)

What shall I do today...

Well.. early out today obviously. I'm not quite sure what I'm doing after school yet, whether it's going to the funeral or not. I'm kind of confused because I didn't get a chance to know him, but I don't know whether I should attend. I feel as though funerals are for family and close friends, but I just don't know. Anyways.. after that I'm going to Norfolk to the girl's volleyball games with Norfolk Catholic and Schuyler. I'll go to support my friends and see how good the team is doing. Hopefully they kick some butt, but we'll see. After that I'll probably go out to eat.. Chinese or Taco Bell!! (it seems like all I talk about is food, ha but I love it and I suppose we all need it to survive ;)..) After that I suppose I'll come home and do my homework because that's what good kids do.

7th grade inspired (day 3)..

day 3 of the 7th grade inspired blog is "fish" by Kierstyn Wragge. I suppose I'll just start by saying that I've never had a fish, but I've always wanted one. If I go on a Wal-Mart run with my friends, I usually have to leave my wallet in the car because I tend to wander towards the fish and have almost bought one a time or two. I really don't have a favorite kind of fish and don't know many types of fish either, so I suppose I'll tell you about the fish I do know. I know that beta fish live in flower pot type things with water in the bottom and a plant looking decoration on the top. Goldfish are pretty cool, too. They're orange.. ha I have no idea what to write about. I hate fishing. It's really boring.
Interview: If fish are in an aquarium setting, they are relaxing to Mrs. Timm. She enjoys the aquarium in Chicago very much. She grew up fishing, her grandma used to tie her up to a tree so she could go fishing without falling into the water.
In conclusion: Fish are pretty o.k. creatures. I don't really have too many thoughts on fish or care much about them. That's all I have for today :)

7th grade inspired (day 2)..

tis the second day of 7th grade inspired blogs.. today's is "music genre I like the most" by Collin Falter. I like pretty much all types of music because each of my friends like different ones so I listen to it all. I listen to hip-hop with Hailey; I like the beats and the random bits of singing throughout all the rapping. I listen to hard-core rock with Emily; I like the crazy outbursts of a screamo song as well as the metaphors they use to describe their feelings. I listen to country with Morgan; sometimes a little twang is good in someone's life. If you need a sappy love song, you can usually find it in a good country/western song. That probably brings me to the genre of music that I listen to the most. I listen to the rock songs with catchy lyrics. I don't really know what to call that genre but I suppose that's my favorite. All Time Low is my favorite band, but I still like it all.

7th grade inspired..

Today's blog is inspired by a 7th grader.. the topic is "favorite foods." -given by Tyler Kocian. My favorite food of all time.. is a #9 from Taco Bell. A crunchwrap supreme with no tomatoes, a soft-shell taco and a mountain dew.. yum! Cruchwraps are the perfect mix of crunchy and soft. They have a soft taco on the outside with a hard circular taco shell in the middle. On the top is a the meat and nacho cheese, and on the bottom is the lettuce and sour cream. I guess it could be the other way around if you flip it, but then it's not the same. I eat them with the folded side up so you can see if anything might possibly fall out.
Another one of my favorite foods is bacon! Bacon is best on Subway sandwiches, cheeseburgers, and goes well with other breakfast foods, too. Bacon and Mexican food.. gotta love it! :)

<^>two weeks of blogging<^>

..itching to get out?! is this a hint as to why mrs b's couch is missing?! ha.. as for the blog of the day, i am to reflect on my past two weeks of blogging. It's been pretty good. At first I thought it'd be hard to write something long enough to be decent, but it's not all that bad. If it weren't for this class though, I would probably never blog or even think about blogging.. but since I have to I suppose it's not too horribly bad. On another note I am really disappointed that the couch is missing in Mrs. B's room! I"m also kind of scared because we can't sit on the floor or the bean bags.. what the heck is up with this place?! haha.. that's all i got for now :)

Kaelee's pick

Kaelee chose my blog topic today. It is "Why do Jr. High kids have no logic, and how can they not control their body motions?" Today at lunch, an 8th grader was shaking their milk and squeezed the bottle accidentally.. resulting in chocolate milk flying everywhere! It was quite the mess. Some of the things these kids do is just beyond me. It seems like they should have some self-control or can logically think of things. I really have no idea why they have no logic. It probably has to do with being immature and not having fully developed brains yet; that's my best guess. They seem to do things for attention and don't think things through completely until they end up making complete fools of themselves. I'm glad I grew up and am not like them anymore!

Wednesday, August 26, 2009

School is getting kind of boring. All my classes except speech are very monotonous. We do the exact same things every day, and it's getting kind of old. I need some more variety in my day otherwise the school year is going to go really really slowly! I'm really looking forward to college because you only have a certain class a couple days a week, and I'm determined to organize my schedule so my morning classes aren't quite so early. ;) As of today, I'm really wanting the end of the school year. Every other day is usually o.k., but today just drained the life out of me. Ha.. there's the blog of the day! :)

how to be a champion

To become a champion public speaker I need to be more confident and know that I am capable of doing anything I set my mind to. I also need to work on making my speeches valuable to the audience so I'm not wasting their time. I need to help others whenever I can because at one time I relied on other people to help me as well. You never know just how much it means to someone if you help them out or compliment them. I need to appreciate what I have and "live [my] life like a champion." My goal for this week would be to study my government notecards, my goal for this month would be to continue to progress with my dancing and try as hard as I can at every practice, my long-term goal would be to save enough money so I can attend Clarkson College next fall. In order to do these things, I need to push myself and do the things necessary to succeed. I need to make time to get everything done but still keep time for friends. Without friends, I'd get too stressed out and life wouldn't be any fun. I need to set aside time for work and time for play but still realize that accomplishing my goals will make me happier in the long run. My dream is to make a difference in at least one persons life. Whether it be that I help them to recover from something or just being there as a friend for them in a time of need. I want to be the person to help them through a tough time.

|-favorite infomercial-|

My favorite infomercial would probably have to be for the Snuggie. It's crazy! The people make it seem like it's such a hassle to wrap up in a blanket, or get your hands out of a blanket in time to answer a phone, when in all reality its not that big of a deal. Just because the blanket has sleeves doesn't really make it worth buying. Snuggies are just pretty much dumb looking and blankets would work just as well. The actors are also really cheesy and fake, as in all infomercials though. So yea, the Snuggie infomercial is probably my favorite one so far. It's very memorable too because nothing like it has been made before, or not that i know of anyways.

..my favorites..

I have lots of things I like to do, but there are probably 10 that are my favorite.
1. softball: I love hanging out with my friends, and it's the only "sport" I play.
2. dance: I've been dancing since I was 5 and have always liked it.
3. thunderstorms!: I love thunderstorms because I love the lightening and thunder, and during them I'm always outside sitting in the rain. :)
4.my friends: We always find something to laugh about.
5.Taco bell: My favorite place to eat and always has been. #6's or #9's will always brighten my day
6.chinese food: Who doesn't like Chinese food?!
7. ice skating: I go about 5 times a year with my friends in Sioux City. It's always an adventure.
8. horror movies/haunted houses: Everyone needs a good scare every now and then
9.walking: I go on walks a lot with my friends and it's just nice to walk and not really have a purpose and no time limits
10.Chicago: I love it! I had a blast when we went there for band, and I also went there for a weeding. It's my favorite place I've been to. --I'm marrying a blue man from the blue man group and moving there.. just wait, it'll happen :)

ooh the blog of the day.. yay! The kids in speech class today were hilarious! What should you do at the end of a date?? --how about, give her a kiss! (get some action) Wow! ..kids these days!
Sounds like something a few of the kids in my grade would have said. Anyways, the real story of the day.. I am learning a lot this year from the foreign exchange students. Linse is in my government class and has lots of input about her country. They have a constitutional monarchy so they have a King, but he's basically just for show I guess. He has some power, but not all that much. We learned that her national anthem is called "brabanconne." They don't have to learn the words to it though because it is really long. I think she sometimes gets annoyed of people who talk about her country like they actually know it, because she always has to correct them and tell them what it's really like. That's about all I got for today! :)

who i want to be..

Right now I'm a confident, hard working senior. I use my abilities towards helping others. I try to brighten everyone's day if even it's the slightest bit. Who I am now is exactly who I want to be at this time. I believe I am accomplishing everything I need to and want to. In the future, I hope to be a hard worker and hope to brighten people's day as well. I hope to be a responsible parent and loving wife. I want to spread my values on to my children and raise good people for the future. I hope to be adventurous and try everything once no matter how dumb it is. I want to learn from my mistakes and be a good role model to my family and friends.

Senior Year!

Being a senior is great because I can finally use what I learned in high school towards making college choices. I also get to park in the senior parking lot! yay!! I also think it's great because all of the other kids look up to me and ask me questions about how things work, and it's always really funny to see a 7th grader in the middle of a hallway spinning in circles because they're lost. :)

I'm taking speech class so I can communicate better with my peers. I usually get really nervous and can't get my ideas across as thoroughly as I would like. I would like to learn to give a speech effectively and get my points across without my speech getting dull and boring or losing the interest of the audience.
